I'm trying to figure out if MOH will run acceptably onmy Ti 800 DVI (512 RAM). With the many stories about dream performance and nightmarish frame rates, I'd like someone with a system comparable to mine to give me a heads up before I go shell out 40 bucks. Thanks for any help!

I read an article where the game was tested on a 800 Ti at 1024x768, and the gam,e ran great for the most part, dropping some frames in a few areas in the game, so you should be fine.

In single player mode it is fine. In multi-player mode forget it. Even at 640x480 it is a jerky blocky nightmare. It is the only game I have seen that the Ti-Book 800 can't handle.

ti667 plays moh fine in widescreen (single player) with settings in the middle. some slowdown in parts but playable for sure. Would love to see it with everything maxed out on the new 1600x1200 screen but ill need to get a powermac for that

You might have some luck on a fast G3 iBook.

MOH runs quiet fine on my Ti800. I forget the settings I have, but they're probably middle of the road--not enough to detract from gameplay, tho.

A few high action moments get a bit choppy--like the D-Day invasion--but overall, you'll have no problem enjoying the game.

That's bad advice. The game also has a multiplayer mode which runs 'like sh-it' on the Ti800. I would never advise someone pays $50 for a game that can't be enjoyed the way it should be.

It may indeed be bad advice, but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying MOH quiet a bit! ;-)

I play Wolfenstein for multiplayer. But MOH's strengths are in single player missions anyway...

No no. Multiplayer is AMAZING. But for that I use an Athlon and run it at 1600x1200 at 50fps. Not a jerky frame in sight!

I play MOH in multiplayer on my Ti 800/512MB RAM and get great performance up to about 16 players per battle. Over that and I start to get dropped frames, but otherwise it's fine.

But not at Ti resolution. If you are saying you get great performance at Ti res then either your standards are low or you've never seen it run properly.
