I've got a Radeon 8500, which supports FSAA, but I'm not certain if games are using it. Is this a feature that needs to be manually enabled, or is it automatic? Is there a list of FSAA-enabled games?
TIA...

Well you can enable FSAA in Jedi Knight 2. The Fruitz of Dojo Quake 1 and 2 ports support FSAA. There's a few out there that support FSAA.
I'm not sure how or if it's possible to globally turn the FSAA on and have it in all games though.

Cool name, Schwa.
Yeah, FSAA has to be supported by the game itself, I believe, and enabled within. FSAA looks absolutely beautiful in Quake 2 at 800x600 on my GF3/dual-800 (1024x768 w/FSAA puts a hit on the performance). Too bad it doesn't work for Q3. And I didnt' know it works for Jedi Knight. I'll check it out.

I didn't notice much of an improvement in Jedi Knight with 4xFSAA turned on (ATI Radeon Pro 9000). I don't know if the q3 engine (which JK is based on) can really make the most of it that feature.
Perhaps also the benefits are not so noticeable running at 1280x1024 res, as things already look pretty smooth.

Yes that's true although for most games it's just a few lines of code. For ATI cards anyway. (Games have FSAA on a per card/company basis so you need to ATI and NVIDEA support)
Cheers Edwin
