Are you talking about the last level? If so, you could bring red pikmin through the flaming pipe but you shouldn't walk through it. Just walk to the other side until red pikmin arrive at the cardboard then they will push it themselves.
Let me know if I wasn't being clear

What Adam said
Pikmin is a great game and I'm eagerly anticipating the sequel (though it has not been announced, Mr. Miyamoto has alluded to it). Only complaint? Too short -- twice as long would have been good.
But this is quite OT, no?

Be happy.

Oh yeah, I really love that game. Something new and fun. But your right, it's too short and replay value is way too low. In the ending of Pikmin, it hinted that we will get flying pikmin and several other pikmin with different skills. Damn, can't wait for that!
I hope they'll increase the length of day in the sequel. I'm too damn stressed with the short day in Pikmin. It's like I'm rushing to finish a homework several minutes before the class begin.

Man, that final boss is freaking HARD! My strategy so far has been to go at him with a small number of pikmin (because big groups get slurped up by his tongue too fast) and I have them attack the sides and front of his face. Any other suggestions/alternate strategies? I experimented with feeding it bomb rocks but it didn't do as much damage as I wanted and he wasn't stunned long enough to make it easy to get pikmin on him to really be worth the trouble...

That is the only way to beat him. Bomb him with bomb rocks then throw pikmins (yellow if you have some) on the side of his cheek. When he is ready to shake, take all of your pikmin back then use bomb rocks and so on...
Be patience and you'll win It's really fun though
