Okay. I bought Quake III Arena for my PC a couple of years ago (when I still had a PC ). Now I'd like to run it on my Quicksilver 933 on Jag. I found a couple of sites that instructed me to copy the pak0.pk3 over the patch install, but it doesn't seem to work. All I get is a blank white screen with my default Mac mouse arrow. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you need more than just pak0.pk3, there is 0 throught 7 for OS X. If they are on your PC then grab them from there, if not, see if they come with one of the OS X patches. I do not see any reason why that shouldn't work. And of course you need to put all of your pk3 files into your baseq3 directory.

I was in the same situation. Here's how I got my PC version working on 10.2.

Download the Quake 3 1.32 update from here: ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/qua...e3-132.pkg.sit

Install it, and the files should be installed to /Applications/Quake3.. you can move this later.

Copy any files from the Quake 3 CD under Quake3/baseq3 that aren't in the baseq3 folder at /Applications/Quake3/baseq3. Don't overwrite any newer .pk3 files when copying over though.

I've had troubles with Rocket Arena 3 1.5, but Urban Terror b2.6 seems to work fine.

Appreciate it, guys. I'll give it a try and let you know if it works.
