Has anyone gotten the double sided cheat to work in multiplayer? I tried but it doesn't seem to work.

So, are you going to tell the rest of the class the cheat for single player mode?

I don't know what the cheat is for single player, I don't think there is one, all I know if you go to any PC cheat code site, they list a cheat for multiplayer two bladed lightsaber, I tried it and it doesn't work. You have to type devmap [map name] and once the map reloads, type in "/thedestroyer"
I have tried this many ways and none of them work, anyone else wanna give it a shot??

No I haven't seen anyone use it, but I haven't played the PC version or played agains anyone using a PC. I just saw it on a cheat web page and tried to see if it worked, but I guess this is a cheat that we Mac users don't get.

I'm pretty sure this cheat only works on servers that have it "enabled".

I understand the server has to have cheats enabled, I hosted a server for a LAN at school and tried to use the cheat the way it says on the cheat sites but it still doesn't work, I enalbed cheats by typing devmap [mapname] just like they tell you too, and it says Cheats Enabled, but that one won't work.

I got it to work by typing the Devmap command to enable cheats, turning off the blade and typing / (or was it \?) thedestroyer.
Just make sure your blade is off. If the code works, the two blades should come on right away (while you're still in the console).

Stryder, can you walk me through exactly what you do to get this to work?
When do you type in the Devmap part?
When you type in thedestroyer, is it lowercase or caps or a mix?
Can you have any weapon showing like a blaster when you do this, or is there a way to holster your weapo?
Please respond as I would really like to get this to work!!

Ok, it's been a while since I've played JK2, but here goes...

Start the multiplayer app.
Bring up the console and type: devmap mapname where mapname is the name of a multiplayer map.
This starts a multiplayer game with just you in the map.
Select the lightsaber, and then select it again to deactivate it.
It'll still be in your hand, just turned off.
Bring up the console and type /thedestroyer and you should see the double-bladed saber ignite.
You should be able to add bots from the menu, and I think other people can connect to your server if they know your IP address.
If you die, you'll have to do the last two steps again.
I don't know if you can join somebody else's server and use the cheat. Maybe if they had cheats enabled on their server...

If the server wants to, he/she can start up a game with cheats enabled. Then, all one needs to do are the last two steps (activate lightsaber, put away, type /thedestroyer).
Typing "HelpUsObi 1" in the console is that same as typing "sv_cheats 1" for Quake 3. Otherwise, type "devmap (mapname)" to start a server with cheats enabled.

OK, I haven't tried it yet, but I think I see what I was doing wrong, I didn't know you could turn off the lightsaber, will try that and I am sure it will work!!

or get this
http://www.jediknightii.net/files/in...ile&id=750
put all the extracted file, not there fodler but all the files into yer base folder in jk2 folder. then all u need to do is start a game and it enables the mod automaticly, it can do double ended sabers, 2 single ended sabers, has all new animations/moves for these also, along wiht new stances. Tons of hilts and even the abilty to change the color of yer ligh saber via a color sliders. enjoy.
BTW i think the camands for it are
/twosabers
/dualblades
but donlt quote me, and u can only enable 2 single sabers when your saber is off. so with a little practice and custom binds you are all set.

in the base folder. models, skins, mod hacks, they all go in base in the jk2 folder. But i have found 3rd party models some times break my SP game and i have to reinstall it to work, need to look into ti a bit more.

If you take a look at the readme, you'll see that there are ways to set it up so that mods for the MP game don't interfere with the SP game. The key is to not put the mods in the "base" folder inside the game install, but rather to put them in the "base" folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Jedi Knight II MP/
