as i've installed 10.2 and do not want to redo all installation again.if os9 is the only way to play can i install it with 10.2 already installed? if yes, how?

There is a Carbon version of D2:LOD. Try versiontracker.com for a download link.

AFAIK, you have to install it using OS 9, but then you can apply the carbon patch. The only drawback is that there are serious OpenGL issues, so you'll have to run it in Softwaremode otherwise you'll get piss poor framerates.

I downloaded the OS X patch and unlike many others haven't had a single problem with it.
