While this would be tricky, it is possible to do a ADC to VGA switch and then from VGA to S-Video (if they have them) and then from there to A/V plugs. The problem is that's a ton of video translation and you'd probably lose a fair bit of signal. Plus, who even knows if it would work. What would work best is if you got a TV tuner card and just ran the line into that through your PowerMac and then onto the screen.

I bought a MyTVgo to do this. Judging from the slight lag with the output from my digital camrea and it appearing on screen I'd say it won't work.

Do you want me to try?

It's possible for your GCN to connect to VGA and use another converter to connect VGA to whatever you need.

The only drawback to this is that you will only be able to play games that support progressive scan. If that game don't have one, you won't be able to play it.

I played Metroid Prime in progressive scan on my 22 inch monitor and man! It's so fuxing crispy!

That is awesome. My old housemate had a dreamcast with a VGA adapter. We'd play on his 21 inch CRT. It was way crisp. It was awesome.

Plus he had linux on there and was generally a real geek. I thought he was cool. He helped me a lot in the days of the public beta trying to get fink and xwindows installed.

Cool stuff.

thanks Adam !!, amazing Metroid Prime !!!!, very nice the GC over the monitor

Those SoundSticks are as you get off of their box maybe you need to 'open' their base... don´t?, no much more space needed and more aesthetic I think...

That siren... maybe runs when you got new mail!!??

I've tried everything but iSub require both USB and driver which GameCube don't have. Some of my friends suggested me to trick GameCube by using S-Video connector but it still doesn't work.

angelmb, what do you mean by 'open' their base?

Adam, please check this photo:

http://www.spymac.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=10548

as you can see, those soundsticks have the 'silver rings' 'opened', simply pull of them with a hand and you are done.

So you can not hear the GC games sometimes I hook the GC or N64 to my Pismo with a CapSure pc-card and with an audio cable conected to the audio input of the PowerBook I can hear the games in the SoundSticks. But with that vga adaptor I can not figure how to...

to use a N64 or / and a GC with a VGA monitor, this adapter seems a solid option, check it:

has anyone gotten this Level Six box yet ? I'm confused about the audio aspect of it, it says it has some passthrough, does this mean I would be able to connect the gamecube into my audio input on my g4 ? I don't have a TV anymore so no way of playing my gamecube anymore =(, but hearing sound is a MUST .. would this do it? or is there any other way of hooking it into the audio input and thus hearing it out of my soundsticks?
