I can't seem to get wolfenstein to work under multiplayer. I keep getting unpure file warnings. I downloaded the fix as per aspyr tech support but it doesn't work. Where can I find a server that will work. Any suggestions?

thanks

Many wolfenstein servers upgraded to version 1.4, unfortunately the Mac 1.4 patch isn't ready yet.

Only thing you can do to connect to many other servers is to download the 1.33 patch for PC (the LITE version), extract it with StuffIt Expander (even when it's a .exe-file) and copy the mp_bin.pk3-file to your "Wolfenstein/main"-folder. That way you can connect to all 1.33 PC-servers. And there are still many left.

NOTE: first install 1.32 patch for Mac then upgrade to 1.33

And watch out for punkbuster 1.33 servers. Lately I've been getting error messages that punkbuster is unable to update the client and kicks me off the server. I assume this will be fixed with the 1.4 patch.

Hopefully we'll see the 1.4 patch soon...

Is that th "CLIENT_UNKNOWH_TO_AUTH" error you get?? Because that seems to be happening sometimes here...

As for the 1.4 patch, I was in touch with a software developer @ Aspyr 3 weeks back. At that time he couldn't give me a time-frame as to complete the patch in; so I'm afraid it'll take few more weeks

iD has to give the thumbs up...but the thumb is currently stuck up its butt (and that doesn't count as a thumbs up.)

That doesn't sound like it. I usually get kicked off after 5 or 10 minutes and a message appears that Punkbuster tried to update the client for the last X minutes and couldn't so I was kicked off.

Considering the 1.4 patch for the PC was released over a month ago, you'd think it would be out soon on the Mac. But Guy is probably right about iD - iD or Activision seems to like delaying approvals.
