How the heck do you open the locked door????? I accidentally opened it once by frantically hitting as many buttons as I could but I can't remember how to do it again. Once the door opens, and you get to the shield generator, how do you get to the upper levels? I could shoot the guys on the second floor (the one time I actually got there) but ended up throwing myself into the shield generator because I couldn't get anywhere.

Any help appreciated...

Actually, at the very beginning of the demo. I get off the landing pad, go up the elevator and kill the imperial guy and take his security key, jump down the elevator shaft (I can't figure out how to get the elevator to come back up) and then I get to the door (after you get the thermal detonator and the canisters) and it's locked. Believe it or not, that's where I'm stuck - Checkpoint 1 of the first level.

when you exit the room where you get the key. there is a button on the wall beside the elevator. i think it's the control key that presses buttons.

as for the door you can't open there's a button on the right.

after you get into the room there are elevators to the higher levels.

The "use" key is "e" to push the button.

Thanks for the help guys - I guess I just don't play these kinds of games enough. I don't have a lot of trouble getting through the fighting, but I have been stumped in several places where I just didn't know what to do (like the door). Now I can't figure out how to get past the stupid shield generator...

My wife doesn't want me to play this game anyway...

I had a lot of trouble there too. Once you shut it off, you can just walk behind it to the right.
