No matter what Blizzard game I'm playing (Diablo II LOD, Starcraft, WCIII) I can't seem to stay connected. My set up:

G4 PCI w/OS X 10.2.3
1 GB RAM
Earthlink DSL (1 Mbs)

With my connection speed being so high, I can't figure out why I keep getting bumped. Earthlink says they dont restrict any ports but port 25, so the required ports of 6112 and 4000 (for Diablo II LOD) should need no tweaking on my side. As long as my net connection is up, Earthlink says "Not our problem".

I know Battle.net is a huge source of frustration for a lot of people, but that can't be the only factor here. It has NEVER worked right for me for more than 5 minutes.

Have tried all the suggested BLizzard fixes: Fresh install of apps, trashing prefs, resetting modem, switching CAT5 cables. Nothing seems to fix this. I don't want to change ISPs; aside from online gaming, my Earthlink DSL generally works flawlessly.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've had numerous issues with Battlenet since Christmas Eve (Diablo II LoD not DIIC). I've been kicked off of servers, unable to join the realms games and unable to join friends' created games. I think this holiday season may have put a mighty strain on the servers...

Set up as follows:
Phone Line > Alcatel SpeedTouch DSL Modem > NetGear 10BaseT Hub > G4

Using OS X built in PPPoE software.

Also, B.net congestion is not the problem here. As my original post stated, B.net has NEVER been reliable for me....
