I recently dug out my old UT CD, installed and downloaded the Unreal Tournament Mac OS X update v436x3. I can not seem to get it to load correctly however.

Here's the error(s) I'm getting from the log:

Critical: appError called:
Critical: Class Actor Member Owner problem: Script=48 C++=52

I've done a recusive chown to make sure I own the folder and all of the contents (to rule out a file permission error).

Is there something I'm missing? Any thoughts?

FWIW - Dual 867, Radeon 9000, Mac OS 10.2.3

Thanks!
I'm cookoo for Cocoa Apps!

I'm not positive but, UT is not compatible with OSX. Unless you download the third party update that is buggy.

It's not a third party update, it's from the original maker of UT. And by 436x3, I'm assuming he did download and install the OSX preview 3 patch.

How did you install the game?
Using Classic or under OS9?
Also did your CD copy have the latest version of the game. 436 or is it 433?

With the owner problem mentioned in your log, perhaps you should open disk utility and run Repair Disk Permissions. Not sure if it will do anything, but I've found that it often times fixes little things like this.

Did you make sure to update to version 436?
