this is the offical email:

Hi JT,

Tim Wood, from OmiGroup, has already stated that he is working on a
patch that will implement SMP for this game. Please be patient. Thanks!

Now if AvP2 has this I will be in heaven. I soo donlt want that game to be alet down. Now if they added Altivec support imagine how kilelr game swould be!

Please, take a moment to spell-check/proofread your posts.

I can't say anything either way on potential SMP/Altivec in AVP2 right now, but I can offer this blanket warning for all games:

It's only feasible to implement pervasive SMP and Altivec in a game port if the original PC version was designed with these sorts of technologies in mind. Otherwise, it's a large investment of time and effort (and who wants to wait longer for games?) for a small performance increase that only some customers will get.

The good news, though, is that almost all games inherit some degree of SMMP and/or Altivec support thanks to Appls having optimized various system services (like CoreAudio and OpenGL) to fully take advantage of the hardware.

People have been making more spelling mistakes as they switched to Chimera...I wonder why?

I hope OW 5 will rekindle people's interest in OW...for my eye's sake. I can't stand seeing so many misspelt words.

Does this finally mean that I will be able to play SOF?

About time too!

10.2.3 with it's compression improved things enormously, from 2-20 fps to 40-50 fps, but there are now annoying stutters. The game pauses every now and then for several seconds...sigh.
