I am a moron, I got the PC version instead of the mac version.

(how this happened was a funny-well not really- story of a student trying to get a game for $20 less)

I have installed other id Games from the pc versions (after finding helpfull instructions here ). Is their a way to do the same with RtCW.

Help will be greattly apreciated.....
thx

I've wondered this myself. I did buy the Mac version of RTCW to support the Mac gaming community, but I've wondered if it was possible to copy PC version data files and then download a new executable.

Yes it is possible, although this doesn't work for every game.
I know for sure that it works with Unreal Tournament (currently running it with PC-files), Jedi Knight II, Soldiers of Fortune (although not completely sure).

Only thing u have to know is what structure the PC uses and Mac.

Folder names may be different (e.g Jedi Knight II: the folder with all .pk3 (gamedata files) is called BASE on a Mac and GAMEDATA on a PC).

For wolfenstein, you just have to copy the wolfenstein-folder (with tha game) from your CD to your HD, see that the gamedata (with .pk3 files in it) folder inside the wolfenstein folder is called main (change if necessary).

Other content:

- cgame_MP.dll
- cgame.dll
- Docs (folder)
- Wolfenstein MP (app)
- Wolfenstein SP (app)

Those .DLL files could be a problem, as they are libraries and probably not compiled in Mac-code (I'm not sure about this though). Wolfenstein MP.EXE & Sp.EXE will ofcourse not run... Those are normally the only 2 files you need to get from another Mac-user.

Hope it works, 'cuz RTCW rox
