I'm tired of this piece of **** software put into my beloved Quake 3. All this ****ing POS does is piss legit players off. I was just kickbanned from a server when I was about to win because I did not update my client. Hey, evenballence, go **** yourselves.

I know but the only way to check for cheaters is to update the app with the latest cheat patch information. btw to get punk buster to work on the latest build is to install the latest punk buster app.

I found the sit and instuctions on the web have a look if you cannot get it working I will see if I can find my downloads and host them on my idisk.

I've been having problems with punkbuster too, in RTCW. I usually end up playing on non-punkbuster servers. You mean we have to download updates of this software? Where do I find it?

This stuff reminds me of the CSHP and PURE stuff they put into UT. At some point the idiots created CSHP and PURE files that wouldn't be downloaded from the server properly for Mac users. Mac users had to go download the software and install it manually.

Why do people have to cheat?

I play a lot of Q3 and haven't encountered any problems with PB. I haven't tried RTCW in a long time due to it running like cr@p on my Mac.

Aside from having programmers for PB who don't like config tweakers (which has nothing to do with cheating), they overstep their bounds. Soon, CDkeys will be banned when PB "detects" you're cheating, something which I've never seen happen to the right people.
