I was wondering if there are any good, or any at all for that matter, basketball games on the Mac. I haven't really found a great sports lineup for Apples when I've looked. I have a new iBook 800mhz so requirements shouldn't be a problem, of course I'd like it to run under OS X, which could be. Thanks for any suggestions.

The closest recent release would be of the Backyard variety.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone here remember the Larry Bird vs. Dr. J one-on-one basketball game on the old Apple II? Now that was a fine sports simulation!

Whoa you're going old school but yeah I do. Haha that was a great one, we actually had that game installed on the Apple II's at my elementary school, cool stuff.

Sure, make me feel old. I played that gem in high school. My dad thought it would be a capital idea back in 1980 to purchase a "home computer", and thusly I had an Apple II.

Great game, that Dr.J/Bird thing was. I remember if you maneuvered just right you could shatter the backboard whilst dunking. Then a janitor would walk out and sweep away the broken glass.
