I have a good little Quake 3 server on my network. But whenever more than 2 people connect to it the pings begin to rise quit a bit. Could this be airport's fault, or is my high speed internet supplier responsible for the lag?

Since it's a network, the only thing that matters is your router/hub (in this case, Airport). Check all connections.

When I said network I meant the server is on the network. There is no way for me to play with over 2 people at a time on the LAN because none of the other computers have Q3 on them. It is whenever more people join from the internet that their pings go above 150 or 200

Most likely you just don't have enough upload bandwidth. Many high speed internet providers limit how much you can upload to enforce their "no servers" agreement that you have to sign to get the service. If that's not the case..I dunno how fast airports can go, maybe its to blame? The computer should be able to handle 16-18 people
