Where would one download the SMAC updater so it works with OSX? Aspyr appears to not have it for download.

TIA.

Well that sux... I haven't had one crash... iBook 500 w/640 I've even had my iBook go to sleep while playing (er not playing) a game.

I run the SMACX program right from the Alpha Centauri folder.

PS Did you notice that you don't need the CD with this OS X version?

I managed to stop the game quitting when a secret project movie plays by enabling "Don't change screen setting for movies" and changing the refresh rate to the same as I had set in the Displays System Preference pane in the 'Alpha Centauri Options...' screen. This appears when you hold down the option key when starting the game.

You know I think I forgot to install any files at all from the cd to the hard drive in the first place. Duh! (I'd deleted SMAC awhile ago.)

I've been using the OS X build of SMAC, and I was wondering if anyone has a better icon for the game? Something that doesn't suck in OS X.
