I can no longer save my cities with SimCity 3k! I am running the game under OS 9, and whenever I save the game the program brings up an hourglass and then does nothing. I have left it for 20 min, and still no save. I have to force quit the game every time. Is anyone else having this problem? At first I thought it might be a virtual memory problem, but it turns out that I can't enable VM under OS 9 because, according to the Memory control panel, my computer "has too much memory". I have 1gb of RAM, and enough free HD space (4gb) for VM, so I don't know what the problem is...

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I had similar problems with SC3000 and traced the issue to Firewire. If you are playing SimCity 3000 and running a Firewire device the program will almost always freeze upon save.

So, try disconnecting any and all Firewire devices before playing and see what happens.
