Freeverse has Payback, like a GTA clone, and Ambrosia announced 4 new games, but only gave details on Uplink and Redline.

Getting sick of all of the mac games being crap lately. Warcraft III is nice, but won't run on my duallie anymore, even with a re-install, I guess it's not compatible with dual monitor setups. Same goes for MythIII. Just played the PayBack demo, crap, a** slow on a dual 1.25, there's no excuse for that. I really hope it wasn't inspired by the movie, that very notion is offensive. The graphics are straight from the C64 era, pitiful.

I guess if I'm gonna get immersed in a game again, it's gonna have to be on the PC.

DOOM III and Unreal II (single-player game) will probably come out on the Mac later this year. I don't think Unreal II for the Mac has been announced yet, but it's a good bet it's coming to the Mac.

EvenGrift... sure there's nothing wrong with your system?

Payback plays perfectly on my system with the highest settings turned on. Heck, the reason I ended up buying it was because the demo ran so smooth on my 500mhz ibook -- I liked the idea that I'd be able to play it on the road as most games won't run very well on the original dual-usb ibook.

I'm looking foward to Neverwinter Nights.. i know people gripe about no tools, but I don't have the time to make levels anyway and there are so many out there I probably wouldn't bother.

I hope they make more games on the Baldur's Gate II engine as well.. they would be fast ports and I like the 2D gameplay of it (read: low system requirements).

Dungeon Siege might be good as well!

Unreal 2 is garbage, BTW, I very highly doubt it will come out on the Mac. It's SP only and lasts 10 hours- I don't think it's going to get NEAR as popular enough to get to the Mac.

Is Doom III going to be like Quake 3 Arena, where the Mac version is available the same time as the PC version?

That's a good possiblity, but I wouldn't say it's 100% for sure going to happen.

I'm just anxiously awaiting the Mac release of UT2003...I haven't seen any updates, anyone else know of any that I don't?

Really doubt it... my 1Ghz TiBook doesn't care for it either..

I thought Quake 3 for Mac was released after the PC version? There was about a month delay as id was polishing it up and Activision was making Mac specific boxes. PC Q3 was released on Dec 5th while the Mac version was released late Dec early Jan.
I'm not sure if anyone knows what Doom 3's Mac/PC distribution model will be, but with Quake 3, it was Activisions decision to initially ship Quake 3 with different SKUs and boxes, most likely to track Mac specific sales better.
