Allright, that's great news. Now the question is just how long?

3 out of 6 Aspyr games are now shipping, so that leads me to believe that they'll probably start working on new projects soon...

Before you get overly excited about SC4 - take note of the hardware requirements. Maxis/EA *sorely* underestimated the requirements for playing this game.

For example, on a PIII 1.5ghz 640mb GeForce 4TI (128mb) video card the game becomes almost unplayable after you reach about 5,000 citizens. It's a cryin' shame. This is a game that is going to be a complete and total resource hog.

So before you buy, I suggest trying it on the most powerful hardware you can find and then lower your expectations greatly. Also keep in mind that the initial stages of the game will play out pretty well, but after a few hours and 5,000 citizens or so, the game becomes utterly useless.

Sad.

Not only remember the high system requirements it will need (probably won't even play on a brand new 800 MHz iBook), but also the fact that its listed in the rating board system does not at all mean that its coming to the Mac. It's just letting them register it incase they do publish it. (making aspyr the only company that can publish it for the Mac).
