OK, I'm stuck at the beginning because I can't use the shield power converters. I've been back and forth with tech support and still having a problem.

basically there's these boxes with green lights that you're supposed to walk up to, press "use" and powerup depleted shields. I've been walking up and pressing use (control or e) until I'm sick of it with no results. same goes for the ammo power converter boxes (yellow lights)

I have trashed the jkconfig.cfg files as recommended by tech support which worked for others with this problem, also trashed Jedi Knight II Preferences in preferences, reinstalled the whole application and also tried it on my other computer. I have reassigned the key. nothing.

I have no difficulty with anything else requiring the "use" key. using card keys, elevators, whatever.

I would appreciate someone explaining this procedure in babysteps detail. Maybe I'm missing something. maybe the boxes I'm looking at aren't the right ones. something! I am not a good enough player to get anywhere w/o shields :-)

and then again maybe it's a bug.

I am using a mirrored door DP1000 and the second machine I tried was a B&W upgraded to G4 550 with a radeon 7000. OS 10.2.3.

any suggestions appreciated. thank you.

Never had a problem here. Sometimes you need to look down the generator for it to work.

Yeah, I'm wondering what tech support thought about it. I'm suprised they didn't tell you to look down themselves.
