Does anyone know why this is so unplayable on a mac? Ive tried to play it in IE, Chimera, Mozilla, and in Safari, and all of them have terrible Java performance. What's the deal?

I'd love to know what you did different from me, because I found the game essentially unplayable. Slow, jerky and both 'people' blinked incessantly. This was the case with Safari, Chimera and Mozilla.

That is exactly my problem, yet it plays flawlessly on a PC with IE...

I couldn't really say. Quite possibly it may have to do with me installing a mozilla java plugin ages ago, but it isn't even the current vesion and I wouldn't think Safari would use it (though it is in library/internet plug-ins). May want to check it out

btw: the two player version almost plays too fast on my machine, maybe you want to try that.

I tried it with my iMac DV under Safari. It was really flashy, but speed wise I thought it was fine. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a slow game. I remember Arcade Volleyball (with CGA graphics!) and it was slow.
