Is there any Mac game that is like Space Trader for Palm?

What is Space Trader? Here:
http://www.cs.unimaas.nl/p.spronck/p...e/spacetrader/

Next Version Here:
http://www.cs.unimaas.nl/p.spronck/picoverse/index.htm

The closest game I could find was
Escape Velocity (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/evn/) but its a bit more involved. I was looking for something that I can play while chatting to folks or downloading a movie trailer and pause without pausing it? Does anyone understand that?

"Space Trader is a strategy game for the PalmPilot."

:/

nothing springs to mind.

"pause without pause". You speak of the ancient form "turn based" game. Those two words are rarely uttered together like that any more. They have been replaced by "real time".

Shame there are so few turn based games nowadays.

I remember that game. It was great. Black and white... Worked wonders on my Mac SE. Wonder if it runs in Classic emulation.

Galactic trader. I think Spaceward Ho also has a similar feel which you might enjoy -- it's a turn-based space conquest game that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Sundog. Totally the best space trding game evah.

It is "realtime" but you can always stop and all.

Bad thing it isn't for the Mac, rather it is for Apple ][ and Atari ST.

10 out of 10.

How about Master of Orion 2? It's turn based and can usually be found for under $10.
It looks just like a telefunken' U-47 - Zappa
