Hello, just got a new 1GHz iMac and I want to install the Sims house party. The Sims installed with no problem through classic, now I get a message from House Party that I need an additional 292MB of space, I have over 32 GB of space on the drive. Any ideas??

Are you running the game in classic?
If so, grab the OSX update for it.

Make sure you have these latest versions installed, then try it.

The OS X update is on The Sims CD --- you just need to scroll down a little bit (I was shocked when it launched in Classic at first). It will place 'The Sims Carbon' in your /Applications/The Sims/ using that will launch The Sims in OS X like it should.

As far as not enough space problem goes --- do the OS X update and see if that fixes it --- if not try a logout/login. Sometimes stupid things happen for no reason --- I did get that error a few times with some other apps, although I wasn't suffering from lack of HD space.

I actually got it working by copying the sims to my external firewire harddrive and then installed it that way. Then copied it back. It had been so long since I installed my sims stuff that I forgot to add Livin Large and had to reinstall them all anyways but it works now. Thanks for the ideas though!!
