I'm still looking for a totally plug and play game pad to use with my TiBook.
That is: I put RTCW, MOH-FL, or whatever, plug in the controller, and move, shoot, etc.
Force feedback or plain vibration would be nice too.
Is it totally dependent on the game software? if so, which new OS X games support these features?
I'm sorry: I just cannot play these games on a laptop keyboard! Am i better off just getting an external mouse/trackball?

When it comes to peripheral support in the form of game pads etc. there are very few that are fully supported by OSX.
USB Overdrive, OTOH, may provide a solution though. I haven't used the X version, but at least under OS9 it supported just about every game pad, mouse and keyboard under the sun.
Well, at least the guys writing the programme aren't too shy to boast. From their website:
The USB Overdrive X is a driver for Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later that handles any USB mouse, trackball, joystick and gamepad from any manufacturer and lets you configure them either globally or on a per-application basis. It reads all kinds of wheels, buttons, switches and controls and supports scrolling, keyboard emulation, launching and all the usual stuff like clicking, control-clicking and so forth. The USB Overdrive can easily handle several USB devices at once.
