Hi, I recently was given a gift of Quake 3 Arena from a friend. I run OSX on both macs I have and my friend thinking that she was doing something nice for me (which it was), bought an Quake 3 for OS9 - no OSX installer Is there an installer to make it work in OS X or is this game useless to me in OSX? I was thinking of the way you could get an installer to make the Sims work in OSX....
Thanks very much..

First download this. Run the installer. Then copy pak0.pk3 from the baseq3 folder on the Quake CD to the baseq3 folder in your new Quake III Folder.

Heh, nah, I've had Quake III laying around for awhile, it's waiting to be installed on my 17" PB when it arrives, along w/ SoF II & RtCW, and in preparation I went to VersionTracker and got all the latest patches so I'd have the games updated when I installed them, so that's how I knew about that patch...I did, however, ask about installing Quake III b/c it's OS9-only out of the box, and I found out how
