Freedom Force quits on start up

This first time it was installed it seemed to play beautifully on my 17" Powerbook. Now it just "unexpectedly quits" before starting. Trashing prefs did no good. Any ideas before I use the CD as a frisbee for my dog to chase?

Try trashing the Freedom Force folder in ~/Library/Application Support (be sure to grab the 'Heroes' folder out of there if you created any custome heroes). You may need to reinstall the game application also...

Anything interesting in the FF.err an FF.log files in the same folder as the FreedomForce app?
