OK, I passes all the levels that get you to the Normandy beach landing.
How the hell do you survive this level and get to the beach?
I get wasted almost immediately after getting off the amphibious craft! It is very frustrating. All those guns shooting at you with no defense. I have tried hiding behind some of the barriers and moving left and right to no avail.
Has anybody here actually gotten past this level or made any progress up the beach?
Thanks!

hide behind stuff, and when the shooting in your direction stops, go run to another thing...i was super frustrated with it when i played it, but i eventually figured it out.

Make sure you make extensive use of the Quicksave/Quickload function.

Thanks guys!
On the PS2 version, this is the first level, and it is hard, but does not seem nearly as difficult as the PC/Mac version.
I will try again!
BTW.....has anyone here played it with a system with more than 32 Mb of VRAM?
The game looks pretty good on my stock card....I was wondering how much better it would look with the 9700.

yah FPS sux on console in my opion. Mouse and keyboard r the only way to go. and yes I have a DP 800, radeon 8500 (64 VRAM), I run with everything maxed exepet complex shadows, I use simple at 1024x768, FSAA set to 2, and SMP turned off (for now till it work the right way and wonlt slow mysytem down). and most of the time I run realy good. Once in a while it'll drop down a hair, like in the Normandy level, but as of late I've been in the foggy snow levels so I am screaming in FPS. can't wait to try it on my DP 1.4 w/ my 9700 on a 23 inch LCD next month when I upgrade I'll let yah know how it looks then
