Hey do you guys know is there any cheats for Civ 3?
I did a surface search of the web and couldn't find any.
Something like turning back the year or some?

Yea... I also need it as well because I don't like having the year to end... I like to keep on playing for as long as possible... Anyone know of any programs to do this?
Thanks

Thanks, but this also works for Macs and not only for PCs right? I mean, I need cheats as in being able to edit the game data, like the year... that's what I really need...

Yeah, I know in the PC edition, people have made Editors, so that you could change stuff like the year or the money you have, etc.

You can download the scenario/map editor and give yourself all kinds of starting advantages or design a custom map with only one decent starting location if you really want:

I don't know any hard-coded cheats for the game, but there are a lot of underhanded tricks that are legal you can use to your advantage.
- Sign a right of passage, put your best units outside their cities, break your ROP (Beware, the other civs don't like this)
- Sign mutual protection pacts with some other civs, then get your biggest enemy to declare war on you. After, sit back and let everyone else fight
- Sign an alliance with a neighbor, go to war with someone far away, when your neighbor's troops are gone, sack their cities
- Fortify some good defensive troops on a mountain in enemy territory, Watch them throw their troops at you and lose units over and over again. Send in the offensive to mop up after.
- Go to war, destroy the enemies cities, send their workers to one of your cities, have them join, then force build troops by sacrificing them the same turn. (Only works in certain govt's, pisses your citizens off)
