Try hitting the Tidle key while in play (the "~" key, to the left of the #1 key just above "Q") and then typing:

/draw_FPS 1

and if that doesn't work try:

/show_FPS 1

and to remove the frame rates type the same thing again, replacing the "1" with a "0" (zero). Make sure you type the backslash and underscore in there as well, and oh yeah, hit Enter after typing it in, the the Tidle key again to return you to the game. The frame rate should show up in a corner of the game screen if it worked correctly.

And if neither of those work, try these:

/showFPS_1
/drawFPS_1

Those are the most commonly used commands, so just post if any of them yeild you any results.

Hmmm, sorry about that then...I don't actually have that game so I was just handing down info. that a majority of games use, but clearly Giants is different. Best of luck man...but try reading the instruction manual and see how to access the "Command Screen", and then try typing those commands.

Maybe if the majority of the games were Quake 3 Engine games those would work...

In 99% of the cases, the Mac and PC versions of games use the same method for enable framerates.

Check out http://www.gamefaqs.com

I'm sure they have instructions on how to enable framerates. Lots of good gaming info at that site.

Yep! I found it. Thanks for the link to gamefaqs.com.
To check framerates in Giants, press T (for text messages) and type in FR (for frame rates) The framerates meter will be in the middle of the screen. Press T and type in FR again to turn off the frame rates meter.
Thanks to everyone for their help! (Meaning you two: a2daj & AssassyN)
