http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/

Unique charms, unique jewels, about 50 new elite uniques, tons of new class-specific uniques, updated sets, unique circlets... fun stuff!

The site is actually down right now due to the massive influx of traffic (!!).

There's some awesome stuff on there; the fact that they posted this list means that the patch must be close .

Anyone else in the Mac universe still waiting for this patch? I know plenty of people on D2 forums that are (of course), so I'm sure at least one other person here cares!

I'm excitied.
Be happy.

I don't... haven't for about a year now. This patch will undoubtedly get me back into it for a few months, though. The game is like heroin.
Be happy.

I doubt it...
You might want to call them if you think there's a chance. Maybe you could get a discount if you prove you own the PC version? You must have bought it right away if you have a nonhybrid CD (since they only sold those for about two-three weeks).
Be happy.

And this patch is suppose to fix the OpenGL bug right? The one that cripples 3D rendering and makes us rely on our CPUs? Man, if it does, I'm sure to start playing it again.

If it finally fixes that, even I'll start playing again.

Yea... I've been waiting for this patch for like 2 years now... I haven't play the game for more then a year because of waiting for this patch. It's now to a point of I don't even know if I'll start playing the game again even if the new patch comes out. It's too little... too late. With the amount of time they took to make this patch, they could of just make Diablo III, they are hopeless...

I don't know where you were, but the PC version was released a couple weeks before the Mac version. I didn't care back then because I hadn't switched yet. Now I would like to play in X. Oh well, guess I'm stuck on my PC for this one because I don't feel like paying another $50 for DII. At least the expansion was hybrid.

I think the Diablo battle chest is more like $30 these days, and standalone D2 can probably be bought on Ebay for like $15.

It might be worth it .

Err. Are you sure that the graphics card isn't doing anything? I mean OpenGL wise...

You have to run it in software rendering mode, cause open gl just sucks. However, software worked fine even on an ibook 600mhz.

What phillryu said.

If I play with OpenGL running I'm lucky to get 12 fps with nothing going on, and around 5 fps in big fight. In software mode, it stays smooth, but it also looks butt ugly.
