Very annoying, I've gone to the website and properly installed all updates, but I always get "Spectator mode forced until your pb version updates" which is never, thus making online play worthless, anyone have this problem?
Yes, I have that problem ALL THE TIME. You have to download PBWeb for OS X, it's on the PB site. Then put that App in your pb folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Quake3/pb or something near that. It seems life PBWeb is a piece of crap at first, and doesn't work. But it is doing something just not tellnig you. Give it 20 or more minutes and it should say update complete. Then you can go and play Q3 online with latest PB. (I hope)
Wow Vash, thanks a ton for posting this...I was having the same exact problem. It would never update my PunkBuster therefore I'd always get stuck in spec. mode...now I'm playing again! THANKS!
