Well, I just got MOH Spearhead today. I'd like to use the cheat codes but I can't find reference on the net as to how to hack into the startup and type in the thereisnomonkey thing. Any help out there?

Thanks,

Pete

Well, I'm not 100% positive if these will work, but give these a try in the following order:

Try this first

Then this one

Then this

Hope one of those will do it!
5G 60GB video iPod
512MB iPod Shuffle
Westone UM1 Canalphones

You need to do it like this, when you open the Spearhead (or original MOH application), hold down shift and then type:
+set ui_console 1 +set cheats 1 +set thereisnomonkey 1

The game will startup as usual and you'll get the maproom. Not sure if it's the same in Spearhead but you needed to start a campaign from the map before. If you didn't the cheats wouldn't work. So load a campaign and then you can manually type in a map or load a saved game.

Don't abuse the god/notarget mode though. LOL Only use it if you REALLY can't get through someplace.

Yep Yep, that did it. Thanks. I will have to say that my 667 DVI Ti Powerbook is overmatched by this game. The truck and anti-aircraft parts are painful even with the settings as low as they'll go.

My Dual 867 with a Radeon 9000 is overmatched. LOL I'd say a GeForce 4 Ti or Radeon 97/9800 will do it. LOL

Hmmm. I don't think it's a question of being overmatched. For some reason, my iBook 800 plays the game without any trouble, but on my PowerMac DP 867 it is almost unplayable. Something is wrong with the program, in my opinion.

Not sure what the deal is exactly.

Yeah, I was part of that discussion. Now that the Spearhead Support page is up, I have sent a lengthy report to Aspyr, and I even included links to these threads.

Did you disable SMP rendering support? That can slow down performance on dual proc machines. I think it's off by default though.
