Hey i installed Deus Ex a long time ago with a standard ball mouse and it worked perfectly. I later uninstalled it and bought a new optical mouse. Now i tried reinstalling it and once I start it up its like it wont read my mouse. It wont move or anything. Any tips?

unplug and plug back in the mouse

try the old ball mouse to see if it still works

keep both mice plugged in and use the ball mouse

That's not true. All iMacs should be able to run 9.2.2. I just installed it on a first generation iMac (Rage II chipset) last summer without a hitch. OS 9.x updates are free but OS 9 is payware, so if you happen to try installing 9.1 onto an 8.6 system, you would have problems.

What type of optical mouse? Did it come with drivers and did you install them? If you did, try uninstalling them. It's possible that the drivers are intefering with InputSprocket compatibility. Does the mouse show up in the InputSprocket dialog box when you try and configure the mouse?

The mouse is an apple optical mouse.. Im pretty sure we installed the nessasary drivers when we had to install it. Also I tried to put the old mouse in and it also does not work inside the game.. So im thinking it has to be a script or something. But i have tried reinstalling it and still no luck.
