I recently installed the OS X patch for D2 LoD on my Titanium PowerBook 867 (with ATI Mobility Radeon 9000). So far it works fine but there is one annoying issue: Even if i set the screen resolution in the Finder to 800 x 600 (NON-stretched) when D2 runs it uses the stretched resolution mode, i.e. it stretches the 800 x 600 (or 640 x 480) pixels to the full screen of the PowerBook which means that the pixels are no longer square but rectangular. Under OS 9 it automatically uses the 800 x 600 (or 640 x 480) non-stretched mode. Does anybody know how one can force D2 (or the TiBook) not to use stretched resolutions?

Thanks, Rainer

Try playing it in software mode if you are not already doing so. I was just playing last night in SW mode at 800x600 and it had the normal aspect ratio (with black bars on the sides). OpenGL rendering was stretched (and doesn't perform as well). Game developers cannot easily predict how OS X (and even OS 9) will handle a 4:3 resolution on a widescreen display.
