hi to anyone kind enough to read this post!

i just got this game recently and am loving it! i noticed a post here about finding some skins/meshes. any luck? i haven't been able to find any!!

i'm also playing this game on a g4 550 mhz powerbook with 768 MB of RAM, and it gets real choppy at times, even on the lowest video setting. is there somthing that i can do to improve the performance?

thanks!

There used to be a lot of skins at Freedom Force Center but that seems to be down. Not sure if it was abandoned or if it's server issues.

You can find some here.

And here: http://cs-people.bu.edu/colstad/freedomforce/

Do a search in google for 'Freedom Force Skins' and a bunch of sites will pop up.

Not sure about your performance problems...

I also extremly enjoyed Freedom Force, but I also found it to get rather choppy ater a while playing. I have an 867 G4, 512 RAM, and a Radeon 9000. I found that after playing for a level or two I had to relaunch the game and it would improve gameplay. Besides that I don't know.

Than again, I'm having issues playing BloodRayne on my G4, it gets rather laggy in odd places, at the lowest settings. May be its my computer.

Than again, my G4 is in the shop due to a directory issue with the hard drive, which would explain the issues I'm having. May be that was the problem all along. Anyhow, just be sure you have all the little apps runnning in the background turned off. Things like Plamdesktop have little mini-aps running that take up speed, and also shareware programs like Synergy tend to spike every 5 seconds or so. Turning them off helps. (BTW Synergy is the best $5 you'll ever spend)

Also, thanks for the skins info, I'll have to try them out when I have some free time.

yes BR runs HORRIBLE, and Aspyr has even replyed to several emails saying it is, and they they had done a poor port over to mac b themslves and there was nothing they could do due to its coming from a console or something. I read the email post on insidemacgames.com i think.
