Hey all,

My new TiBook SD (1ghz) w/ 1Gb RAM has a problem...

It seems to me that my performance in RTCW and MOHAA is below what it should be (from benchmarks and posts from others w/ my machine in these forums).

I average about 25-40 fps in RTCW at 800x600x32 w/ details about medium-high. The thing is, even if I lower it to 640x480 or turn the details down, it remains about the same speed (within 5 up/down).

Same story w/ MOHAA, only a slightly lower framerate.

I installed the most recent ATI RADEON 9000 drivers, and I think I'm running the most recent version of each game.

Any thoughts as to what could be the bottleneck? I'm not expecting STELLAR performance, but I was expecting 40-60 fps at least... Warcraft 3 runs smooth as silk even in native (1280x854) res.

Also, any tweaks for either of these two games or things to look for?
