A week ago I was like, "Nascar 2003, what a joke...it's got to be exactly the same as Nascar 2002 but with a few more bells and whistles." But DAAAAAAMN! The game is soooo much better. The graphics, the environment, the physics.

I dunno what Westlake's been feeding Duane but, sheee-it, the Nascar 2003 demo just runs so much faster than Nascar 2002. Performance increase without a change of hardware and an increase in environment objects makes me happy.

I almost feel gypped out of buying Nascar 2002 'cuz I rarely buy games and a new, better, shinier version is out just a few months after I bought Nascar 2002. Awww, screw it. Meesah gonna buy Nascar 2003.

Good job this time, Westlake...this time.

Force feedback has been nicely improved in NASCAR 03 as well Rob. You'll feel more of the track and the car pulls a lot more to the inside down the straights like it should.

I use the MOMO racing wheel and all is good.

heehee!

Yes, that was me. Then I found out what the issue with the MOMO was and picked up another a couple days later. Was a really easy easy easy fix. It was the Thrust Master Digital 2 that I picked up after returning the first MOMO and it's now in the closet for backup.

Yes I'm running 10.2.6 and no issue there either. Think that update gave us force feedback, or was it .5? Either way it's working nicely.

The issue was that when you would select the wheel in NASCAR Configure it would sometimes list it as the pedal set incorrectly.

The fix is to simply move the wheel back and forth a little bit as you click the button in the NASCAR Configure App till it says wheel instead of pedal set.

That may not have come out just right but I assure you it's a simple thing.

Ali,

I'm sure it would run pretty well on the newer G4 iMacs. The frame rates are much better in NASCAR 03 over NASCAR 02 with the same system setup.

?? Depends which G3 iMac..but I don't think it'll run that well. Especially not in 'purdy' mode.
