I decided to reload AOE2 Gold edition on my dual gig and noticed that the font rendering is horrendous (in OSX), I cannot make out any of the text on the main menu or any of the options in the game. Since I last played this I bought a 20"lcd my old 17" monitor worked fine on this game. The game plays fine in OS9 but its unusuable in Jaguar (10.2.6) any advice would be helpful, I would prefer not booting into OS9 just to play one game.

I almosy forgot I adjusted the resolution and colors in a number of ways to see if this fix the problem it helped at 1024X768 but not that much.

thanks
Mike

Sounds like you're using Silk to anti-alias the fonts. This doesn't work well when the fonts are drawn into a 256-color screen as is the case with Age2. Add Age2 to the Silk exclusion list.
