Hey I have seen in several pics the use of distance fog in UT2k3, mainly on the deathmatch map "abetus" or something like that, its the small out door one in the demo. Any way I had a ATI 8500, now have a Geforce 4 Ti in my DP 800 and I have never seen the fog thats show in the pics showing off screenys of the demo, am I missing something? cause in the pics it looks like it really adds alot of atmosphere to the game.

If anything it adds a huge disadvantage to the person that has fog enabled.

If this were a single-player game, the fog would be great...but alas, you want to be able to see the enemy from as far away as possible in certain situations.

If a level is meant to have fog, the fog should be present on all computers. If a person doesn't have a vid card that handles fog, that person should be disallowed to play the level. Multiplayer games are only fun when you're playing on fair grounds.

That image is very very old, one of the first ever shots I think!
Just for comparison I took a picture from UT2K3 as it is now on my Powerbook...
New Shot...

Just using 1280 x 854 with maxed out settings. Can't wait to get the full game next week (bit late here in the UK!) to see how the other maps play!

Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

That game touches me down there, and that UT2k3 fog does too.
