First off, it's quite playable on my TiBook 500Mhz with 8, yes 8MB Video Ram. I'm running in 896x600 with gives me full screen no stretch. Settings I must have are 16 bit bpp and no shadows. Most my other setting are set low but not all the way down. I'm able to get 9 FPS with the latest patch and the game is quite stable. I play through an Airport connection about 40' away to my Belkin WAP.

In comparison my PIII 600, has a NVidia 2 64MB card and I play with most my settings in the middle at 1024x768. It gives me better visual quality than my mac at the expense of stability and playablity. It gets about 16 FPS, crashes every 20 mins and I get bad ping times/server lag up to 30 seconds. Strange since my PIII routes the DSL connection to my hub and WAP.

I'm still only have characters in my teens so I'm able to play any facet of the game at this point, soloing, grouping, adventuring. I won't be doing any sieges for another 15 levels at least and only play a about 6 hours a week. Since I started my FPS have went up from about 4 to 9 and I don't get this mystery lag that I get on my PC.

Can others post their current FPS, settings, and siege wortheyness?

Note my PIII is getting ebay'd and I'm swiping up a new G5. Hope we get Panther soon as a 64 bit OS and Wolfpack compiles a 64 bit client for us . . . oooh the joy.

On my ghz powerbook, the framerates seem comparable to my pc. I havent been able to find a resolution that doesnt stretch it or leave stripes on the sides.

Sieges are just bad for everyone. It helps if you turn off the second chat window, shields, names above shields during sieges.

You need to hand edit your Arcanepref.cfg. with the native resolution or scaled resolution you want. 896x600 maintains the ratio aspect of 1152x768 on my TiBook.

Update: I still can't play on my PC client after yesterday's patch, was able to play 3+ hours on Mac without a hitch.
