Sim City 4; Zoo Tycoon, and other similar games have been or are being ported for Macintosh; many by Aspyr.

Yet one of the best-selling sim games -- Roller Coaster Tycoon -- has not. Yes we got Sim Theme Park, but that app doesn't compare to RCT, which was #1 in sales for a while on the PC.

I'm sure there are others hoping for this game.....is there anything we can do to encourage Aspyr, MacSoft, MacPlay, OmniGroup, etc. to seriously consider bring RCT to the Mac?

If enough people e-mail/call/harass them about it, they will port it. They just need assurance that they'll make money off it. I know I would NOT buy it, but that's just me; I won't e-mail them to tell them that, so no strikes against your cause

Hate to say it, but, uh, don't bother. It runs quite well, thank you, in Virtual PC on my PowerBook 867.

Actually, i take that back; i'd totally buy a Mac version, so that i could run it more than 800x600, but nevertheless, i really don't think it'll happen.

I ran the game once in Virtual PC on my iMac G3 and it seemed just fine -- I'd have to try it with VPC 6 in Mac OS X on my new 1 GHz PowerBook and see if its still good (well, it should be, the poster above says its fine on his 867 MHz PowerBook). But then again, I'd be wasting over 1 GB of space for Windows 2000 and the game just to run it on my PowerBook... oh well.
