Is WOW going to be an "on-line" game only? Meaning, will you HAVE to be connected to the internet to play, or can you set it up over a lan and play that way. Will there be a single player version??
Just wondering, as I do not have a fast connection at home and WANNA play that game!!!

Actually, 56k doesn't matter that much. If you think about it, WoW will just be transmitting back and forth the coordinates of the players and their actions and stuff. What might happen is the 56k player will lag, but the other players won't notice a thing.

Payment … Will there be a monthly fee, or is it buy once play fot he rest of your life, like the rest of the games from BLizzard (therefore I love them). BTW Frozen Throne RULES.

Since it's an MMORPG it will almost definitely have a fee to it like EQ does.
