It looks like someone leaked a really badly encoded version of the Deus Ex 2 Intro Cinematic:

Sounds like Walton Simon's clone and we also see Alex Denton, J.C.'s clone (if you remember they were both in the cloning vats in Area 51). This game just exudes cool .

Hm. I like it. - Hope it comes to the Mac. I really liked Deus Ex. It was fun.
That was definitely Walton Simons, but I didn't see JC Denton there. And who was that chick with the eyes?

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

you know the thing that bugs me about mac gaming
apple asked game developers what would be an incentive/something to make mac games and the industry said opengl
then, apples responds w/ opengl, and then the industry goes w/ directX
WTF???

Alex Denton, the other clone from Area 51.
You can also download some gameplay footage here (it was released in July):

The intro looks nice but nothing jaw-dropping.
I'm looking forward to play Deus-Ex 2 on mac.. I really like the original game.

1) I don't think the intro was "leaked". I'm pretty sure it was released intentionally. Surely this site and the others that are hosting it (fileplanet, for example) would have been told to remove the file already had it not been official. Too bad it's in the crappy windows media format, that still manages to skip frames with everything else quit on my comp :/
2) It does sound like Walton Simons, but I'm not sure if it is his clone. It could just be him. IIRC, the player had two opportunities to kill WS in the first game; once when coming back from the underwater base, and once at the Area 51 missile silo. I'm not sure if it is possible to go on without killing him (pretty likely, based on the other stuff in the first game), but if so, it just means that Ion Storm didn't want him to die in the first game. Kind of like how they didn't want Paul Denton to die. (For those who don't know, IS is assuming the player saved Paul Denton in the first game, as he is going to appear in DX2).
3) Concerning Alex Denton being JC's clone, and concerning him/her actually being in the vat at Area 51, there is some new evidence recently revealed about the situation. It appears it might have just been a holographic illusion of Alex (made to fool someone?) and that the real Alex might not have even been in Area 51 for some time. If true, it certainly puts an interesting twist on things, and means Ion Storm was planning part of a bigger conspiracy before DX 2 even started development! Or as the others who have been touched by MJ12 suggest, "it's just a bug"

Yeah. I don't get that.
It's aggrevating that so many PC game developers would opt for a closed standard controlled by a single company to develop their games upon. I'm not exactly sure if Windows supports anything other than Direct X out of the box, so it might boil down to a marketshare issue for game developers.
But then again, Doom 3 is using OpenGL, no?

The intro looks like it could have been created with the game engine itself, much like how the first DX did its intro/cutscenes.
Concerning DX 2 on the Mac, as far as I know, development work has yet to start. Ion Storm has not committed to any platforms other than Windows and Xbox at this point. My guess is that it's easier for IS to develop DX2 for Windows and Xbox, since DX2 uses DirectX, and both of those platforms natively support DirectX.
It's going to be really dissapointing if DX2 isn't portted to OS X, but I'm likely going to get it for my Xbox in any case. I just hope it's not like most other PC ports to the Xbox, and suffers from a crappy framerate :/

Looks like DX 2 won't ever be coming to the Mac now that Ion Storm was closed. Glad I have an xbox, but it's a shame that this one never made it to the Mac.

DX 2 was nowhere near as good as the first one. The tiny levels from the constraint of the Xbox's limited RAM just killed the game for me. Well that and the omnipresent loading screens.
I just want DX 1 to be ported to OS X.
Congrats on doing a search and using an old thread rather then a new one. If more people did this we could have a lot less clutter.
