I recently got an older Sims expansion pack and in order to install it I had to start over. But after installing the original Sims my Livin Large is giving me trouble. It tells me I need to free up 1.6GB, but there is 78GB free already, and just for kicks I deleted about 2GB, and got the same error.

Any fixes? I know there are some updates, but they require Livin Large to be installed already.

Make sure you're installing it to the partition with 70GB+ of free space. Also try clearing out any old pref files that may still be around. Are you running OS 9 or X? Which version of the OS? System info might help as well.

OSX 10.2.6, 768GB RAM, unpartitioned 120GB HD (78GB free), the machine is a dual-867.

I'll try clearing the prefs tonight.

In case anyone else gets this error, it's because it won't install in Classic mode. If your machine can't boot into 9, you need to send Aspyr and your disk $5 and they'll send you an updated disk.
