should i wait the few months or so for 2004 to come out or just go and buy 2003. i have been playing the demo of 2003 for the whole summer and love it but after seeing the intro for ut2004 on gamesville i am torn between waiting and buying now
ps how do you check the frame rates on the game

Is UT2k4 coming out?? Guess I've been doing too much school work... My suggestion would be to wait and see. When UT2k4 comes out, give the demo a whirl (if they provide one) and then decide.

As for frame rates, I don't know how to do this either. Someone tried explaining it to me once online, but that failed miserably.

In-game fps is available by hitting the "~" key and typing "stat fps", no quotes. You can do this on the fly or in the option menu of the game. UT2004 is supposed to introed for the PC in Nov. but the Mac version could come anytime after that maybe by Christmas. I bet on sooner than later as UT2004 is based on the same engine as the UT2003 so it should not be as much work to port.

UT2004 won't be out for a while on the Mac. Nov for the PC.
