Anyone try Total Annihilation under Panther (w/ classic) yet?

Also any truth to post mentioning link to OSX port of this on InsideMacGaming.com forum/general? (I've lloked & searched but no such luck).

I would love for this game to be ported.

But I'm not holding my breath.

Update:

Panther upgrade on iMac DV G3 400 complete (Clean Install)

TA under Panther test:

Sadly I have to report that playing TA in panther has resulted in a degradation in performance.

Now it is even slower and choppier than ever.

This is in sharp contrast to the rest of the user experience in Panther which in general has been a marked improvement over Jag.

My gut is to suspect it may be related to Fast User switching, so at some point I will do more tests without FUS enabled.

For now, my kids are hogging the old iMac and playing EV Nova nonstop!

TA seems to run fine for me in Classic. There's a patch that I installed from somewhere that fixed some of the glitchy behavior that TA's had in class, but I don't remember where I got it from (clean wiped my machine recently)
