This is not specfically related to Panther but I can't install my new UT2003 CD's. When the computer had the 10.2.6 update I was able to install Unreal but I had to have my computer replaced and I updated to 10.2.8 and now when I put in the Unreal install CD a message appears saying" It's recommended that 10.2.6 or higher be installed" and it will not install. Weird.
Now that I have installed Panther I tried once again and I get the same message. My Unreal CD's have no scratches. I tried the install on both my 17"PB Rev B and my FP iMac and I get the same results.
Does anyone know of a patch for this issue or has anyone experienced this?

Figured it out. I went to version tracker and it recommended to go macgames and they explain how to install UT2003 in case anyone needs to know then here's the solution.

Installer quits after displaying the message "It is recommended that you install Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later before installing Unreal Tournament 2003."


Solution: Control-click the "Unreal Tournament 2003 Setup" icon on disc #1, and choose "Show Package Contents." In the window that appears, open the "Contents" folder and then the "MacOS" folder. Double-click the "ut_setup" icon and the installer should run.
