Firstly, you should redownload Flarestorm 2 if you have not already. It should have a folder that you have to move into the Library/Frameworks path on your hard drive. (The required folder is inside a folder called "Copy to /Library/Frameworks".) That way, it should start.

The good thing about Flarestorm 2 is that it does not require a Playstation BIOS.

Now for the various bad points. Firstly, Flarestorm 2 is unable to play most Playstation games. Even Final Fantasy 7, one of the most compatible games from the earlier versions, causes a kernel panic after about 20 minutes of play.

Secondly, Flarestorm 2 is apparently incompatible with Panther.

Thirdly, Flarestorm 2, even if you manage to somehow emulate your game correctly, tends to be slow on basically every tested Mac. Unless you have a G5, don't expect much. Even with a G5, don't expect much.

In any case, good luck with Flarestorm 2. Hopefully, you will have better luck than I have had...

Flarestorm is in super-early beta stage...

First it was an OS 9 app, then it became cocoa, now it is rewritten to not use a bios file.

All 3 times in fell back a bit in compatibility and such.

Don't expect a whole lot yet

Yes it is, by 2510, a single Japanese programmer.

Writing a PSX emulator from scratch, by yourself is a great deal of work, so it takes time.
