Is there any chance in hell of a Call Of Duty port from Windows? Do Activision normally do Mac ports?

It'll probably get ported and released in 6months to a year. I'm playing it NOW on my pc. It's a GREAT game. Best FPS i've played so far... can't wait for Half-Life 2.

I saw it in a store this week, gorgeous looking game.
To answer the porting question, the game uses a modified Quake III engine, so it will more likely be a question of economics rather than whether or not it is possible.

Can this game get any better!!?!?
I just played the Stalingrad sequence and it has to be the best scene I've ever played in a game. Where everyone is running out towards Red Square...awesome.

Look at Aspyr's games and tell me how many Activision games they've published...
To be a little more specific about the game engine, it uses a modified version of the RtCW engine, which of course is a modified version of the Q3 engine. It had the rendering code completely ripped out and replaced with new code that takes much better advantage of 3D hardware acceleration which is why they can throw more polygons on the screen and have the game run about as good if not better than a game like MoH or RtCW.
A bunch of us ran the first CoD demo on our standard issue systems at work (P4 1.9 GHz with GF2MX cards) and were amazed at how well the game ran on them.
I'm guessing that the game has been in the works for a few months already. I'm hoping it's Westlake's Booty Call project.

Hey People - Get off your asses and make yourselves useful.
Do what I did - Visit that CoD forum link that was posted by liquidity - Take 1 minute of your time and sign up, and leave a comment that you'd love to see CoD for Mac come out.
The game looks really cool, and the Mac thread about CoD already has almost 2000 hits on it.

The Mac publishers already know by now that it's a good game. Since it's an Activision game, and Activision and Aspyr have a good working relationship (long ass approval times aside), then there's a good chance that Aspyr is getting it ported, most likely one of Westlake's code named projects. So, I don't need to go in and register on their site just to say I want the game. The publishers already know we want it.
